Micron paper and discs

Micron paper and discs come in medium to fine grain sizes. These provide a great complement to grit paper when lapping and grinding fine surfaces. The abrasive is aluminum oxide. Discs come with a self-adhesive backing.

Valve grinding – 3M micron paper 

LarsLap stocks micron paper and discs from 3M. These are top performing abrasives that work well in demanding conditions, with a range of grades from ultra-fine to medium. 

Micron paper is manufactured using a plastic backing and grains with the same size spaced  out equidistantly. The gives predictable results and an even and smooth finish. Micron paper is ideal for lapping of fine surfaces and fine grinding. Unlike grit paper, micron paper is arranged in an ascending scale, the lower the number, the finer cut with little abrasion.  

Micron works for both wet and dry valve grinding.
